So we've decided to take the plunge and will be moving to guatemala, Panama, Costa Rica etc. Anyone have any experience with maintaining a Jeep down there? I've shipped it to South America before and it was bloody expensive. I guess the advice I'm asking is:
Should I just sell it here and pick up a cheap Toyota down south or drive it down pay the retarded import fees and worry about getting parts if needed?
What would you do?

Find the common 4x4 and wheel it. I don't know how common jeeps are out there. I guess the phrase, "when in Rome".
I don't even recommend people bring vehicles from other provinces just because of the inspections here. I guess some research will reveal how popular jeeps are down there. What side of the road do they drive on?

Ya that'd be Toyota Eric. Was more wondering if anyone's done it with a Jeep before. My emotional attachment is telling me to keep it. The smarter side says sell it, sell it, sell it!
