I got a new shudder when stopping the TJ. It's coming from the rear passenger side... Does not feel like a warped rotor ( had that before on the front and that shakes as soon as you press on the brakes). This only seems to happen when I'm just about stopped. Haven't taken a super close look at it but the rotor and brake pads appeared fine. Thinking it's the caliper but wanted to check with others first.

Were all four tires still on the jeep when this happened? ;)
... ok, enough....it's getting old.

:P --- this time.... yes. This is also different from dragging rotors along the pavement....
-
Check for any play in wheel bearing, up/down, in/out. Confirm wheel is torqued and brakes torqued down.

Confirm wheel is torqued
...... my first guess

That will NEVER get old.

No play that I can see or feel. Everything was nice and tight....
So caliper?
-
Check caliper sliders and pads slide as well. Maybe the rotor has a bad spot.
-
Switch rotor to the other side. See if the problem changes sides. Sliders could be seized as well.

so.... the bearing on the rear axle is fooked which in turn killed the caliper and made it vibe... got to the point you could see it move. So before I just slap in new bearings... how can I tell if the rear shaft is bent?

Get a piece of glass and roll the shaft on it. Kitchen granite counter top?
