Title: Problems with tranny on a '93 ZJ

It just picked up a '93 GC with a 5.2L. Got a good deal cause there is a problem with the tranny. As soon as it goes into gear the engine stalls. If you can get it rolling then it seems to drive not bad. My guess is that the locking TC is stuck on, ie always locked up.

Can anyone give me any tips on how to trouble shoot this or where to find the wiring for the locking TC?

What tranny/t-case? '93, I would guess to be an aw4/np 242...

Idon't think they used the AW4 with a V8, 42RE? NP249 Tcase.
