I am looking at replacing an engine, (cough cough, that sits in a vehicle that sits next to my jeep)
Wondering if anyone has a good source for info/pricing/availability
I have never bought one, I have always bought donor vehicles or used engines.
I am just looking for info before I decide a path to take. Its a mopar vechile.
google tells me a lot of things and though the internet tells me that everything I read on the internet is true, I believe in due diligence.
any suggestions would be great

They are accross the street from my shop, they have a few built motors right in the showroom. Cannot vouche for quality or anything, but i did walk through there the other day.
I went down the road of sourcing components then having machine work done then reassembling the motor and next time i think a crate motor it would be.

thanks for the replies
I am still wondering if I can get the heads rebuilt, or if I should replace the motor completely.
Its a 5.7 hemi, with the notorious "hemi tick". I don't think I am hurting it too much by driving it, but it is a bit embarrassing pulling up so a job site in a truck that sounds like a sewing machine. From the research I have done it is usually the exhaust valve springs that fail and cause this. any input is welcome.
If the furnace in my garage was working I might do some exploratory surgery on it. so until spring.....
