got the three off on the passenger side with little effort; the drivers side sheared all three with little effort.
so i'm looking for the nutserts so i can grind off the old ones and put the new ones in.
i called Tower, and it seems nobody has em in Calgary, they can get me 3 in for tomorrow, 20$/ a piece.
i know the guys at Black Majic Brakes in the US make a niftly little replacement kit for specifically this, but was hoping to get something ASAP so i could at least drive the damn jeep.
anyone have this problem at some time and actually order these up? or have any insight?
cheers

Do you have to use nutserts? Can you cut out the old and use a nut and washer? What about welding a nut in place? Text me some pictures john.

I got my nutserts from Triad Fasteners, give them a try.

I have welded a crossbar onto a bolt head so that it would wedge in the frame rail to stop spinning and then fished the bolt through the frame to the hole with a piece of wire. Works okay but gotta hold the threads so that the bolt doesn't accidentally push back up into the frame when putting the washer and nut on.
I did this successfully several times until I discovered that nutserts were way easier ;)

looked into the black magic kit in the US, it would be roughly 75$ to get it here in a few weeks. however i am not that patient. the dealership brought three in for me at a modest price of 20$/piece, should be here today.
benefit; at least i should be able to get it up and running this afternoon. downfall, i literally just paid 65$ for 3 nuts.
