Opinions? I need a 15,000lb or heavier winch for my diesel pickup but just cant justify $2000 for a Warn. Considering the Gen 2 Waterproof 15,000 or 17,500lb Smittybilt models for $800ish. Any one have an experiences regarding quality, reliability? Thanks.

Just go as big of weight as you can, so if you need it, its not working hard. The biggest failing with all the chinese winches is the motors are not particularly high quality, so if you work them hard, they melt down.
If you get one big enough that it doesnt work to hard for a pull, it should "in theory" last you a good while.

Well ended up ordering a Superwinch Tiger Shark 15,500lb off Amazon.ca for $782 on sale...too good of a price to not try it out. Should be here next week...hope it's a decent unit, time will tell. Just can't justify Warn's $2000 prices for their heavy winches.
