After six years and twenty days on the same job site, working for the same company, it's finally layoff day. We went up to as many as 150+ employees and down to as few as 18 more than once, but I made it right to the end. Time for a week or two of wrenching and maybe some chill-out time before I find a new gig. I like to celebrate simply:

Hopefully I can get out wheeling before the bill collectors come calling and I have to get back to work.

That sucks to hear Sean. What industry are you in if you don't mind me asking ?
I sincerely hope you bounce back on your feet as I spent close to 2 years of not working. It took me awhile to bounce back financially, and in hindsight I wish I went back to work earlier. I did however manage to wheel a lot in those 2 years of not working so there's that ?
Good luck !

Thanks, I'm sure I'll find something soon. I build scaffolding for a living, so the job market is pretty decent. 2 years is a long time, I'm glad you were able to recover financially. Hopefully I can get some wheeling in!
