Hey all,
New member, and I tried using the search bar to help me find the info I am looking for with no luck, so hopefully you guys can give me a hand!
I have a 98 TJ SE (2.5L engine) that had quite the exhaust leak. It has been sitting for a bit over a year waiting for me to give 'er some TLC, and I have finally started to do some work on it. I pulled the exhaust and intake manifold off for some cleaning and polishing/inspection and found out while I was doing this that A: I was missing two bolts from the intake/exhaust attach hardware and B: a complete lack of gasket on the exhaust side of things. I tried looking for a crack in the manifold but can't seem to see anything obvious, so I've toyed with the idea of just replacing it depending on the dollar figure of a header or new manifold.
I have looked around a bit online regarding headers for the 2.5L engine and had found a few options but not many. I was wondering if any of you know if and where there is a good place here in calgary to give a call to regarding headers or if any place will even have anything. If not maybe some suggestions on replacement manifolds and a reliable good place/brand to get them from as well as pricing?
Thanks for all the help!!

I've only encountered one Jeep TJ that actually had a header for its lil 2.5. The owner had a complete Banks exhaust from header to tailpipe, so I'm assuming a high-flow muffler , larger diameter mandrel-bent pipe, and possibly a high-flow catalytic converter. The thing sounded too much like a Honda Civic with fart can too be honest. The owner said it was pretty expensive and the horsepower and gas savings were marginal at best, but performance parts were minimal for bolt-ons.
I'm pretty sure Mopac on 16th sells Banks but look online for other stores in the city that carry it. I think Pacesetter also sells a header for cheap but is of less quality and thinner gauge .
Good luck

I have a pacesetter header on my 2.5, ordered from autopartsway.ca a few years ago - keep in mind there is no point in improving only one component of flow - I've got a CAI, larger TB, mandrel bent exhaust, freeflow muffler, and no cat - still very little difference - and the only place it matters is on the hwy, stock 4 banger is fine offroad as it is

Should mention the yj only has an O2 sensor in front of the cat - hence bring able to delete, plus my cat started a grass fire once, and a carpet melt also so that why i ditched it, not for power

I have a brand new manifold and gasket, still in the packaging. It wont fit on my 6.0L LSx soooo I could give them to you for $160?
