Hey guys,
So I started leaking ATF from what I thought was my front output shaft seal. I went out bought a new seal, drained my t-case, and then popped off the front drive-shaft.
Then to my surprise I noticed a very clean and clearly factory drilled hole (no threads) in the driver side of my t-case (NP242J) that had been hidden from my sight by the drive-shaft next to my shift linkage. Nothing to my knowledge is missing, even the vent hose about three inches above it is properly in place. Everything is functioning correctly except of course for the spewing of fluid. What should I do... Simply plug the hole or is something missing that I should go obtain and reinstall? Cheers guys!

Plug it with some RTV sealer. The hole is for when you want to dismantle the case. You put a drive punch thru there to pound out the roll pin holding one of the shift forks on.

Perfect!
Much appreciated,
Cheers!
