Post by: Vinman on September 12, 2014, 09:26:34 PM
Picked up a set of JK Rubicon axles yesterday that were on Kijiji for a whoppin' three minutes before I was on the phone with the seller. ;D

You're 3rd or 4th in line, busted locker and all.

I snagged an X-Jack a few years back for a good price with a quickdraw...but three minutes has got to be a new record. Especially for a set of JK axles.

You gonna truss the front?

I picked up some sleeves and inner knuckle braces from Broken Axle already and will truss both axles as well.

I was mostly thinking the front since the JK front D44 has such a small tube. How big are you gonna go that you're planning on trussing the rear too?

Sticking with 35's but will be triangulating the rear uppers which will require a truss or at least a bridge for the upper mounts.

A third? Fatherhood has made you weak Johnny! Back in the day you wouldn't have made more than a quarter of Vince's price.

Seller should have jumped on that 5 grand, especially since he said he really needs his garage space back.

Realistically .. what does a pair of Rubi axles go for? .. Seems like there is a pretty good size line-up of people just waiting to get their hands on a set??

There was a pair of built JK Rubicon axles on Kijiji for $5,500 a while back, 5.13's trussed and I think RCV shafts
