Title: TJ Control Arm questions, replace bushings or new arms and cost?
Post by: Canuck Bob on August 14, 2015, 03:44:34 PM
My stock TJ has 270,000 kms and I'm hearing a clunking from the right rear.  I'm assuming my Jeep suspension needs freshening up.  Replacing bushings looks like a nightmare from the internet reports compared to replacing the arms with new.

Anyone have an idea what arms are worth.  All I can find is American pricing and supply.  Hoping this will help me get an idea without an extended parts counter visit.  Does anyone stock after market stock style arms in Calgary?

Just a suggestion but if you're looking for stock style have you thought about putting out a call for anyone who's removed the stockers in good shape to do a lift?  Might net you some decent arms for a reasonable price.

Excellent idea.  I'm researching the work required and will put the TJ up on Sunday to inspect things.  Anyone reading this with take offs let me know by pm please.
