Title: What did I fish out of my bellhousing
Post by: fony3 on September 02, 2015, 06:48:24 PM
The jeep has been getting a bit tougher to get in gear, decided to check out the clutch hydraulic system. In my messing around, the rod from the slave fell inside. Today I attempted to fish it out with a magnet and came up with this instead. I cant place it.
Pardon the oil, the RMS is getting changed this weekend, now looks like maybe a new clutch too? arg...

Jeep: 02 TJ . NV3550

Also is it possible to pull the inspection plate without sliding the transmission back?

As i suspected as well, it was a part of the TOB. Here is a comparison of the new one I put in yesterday and the busted up one I pulled. Both are Luk.

Also I have a rogue spring from the clutch job, can anyone identify its home? Thanks! Wondering if this is from my Tcase Shifter boot. it was pretty beat up.
