Title: XJ drivers door upper hinge.

The upper door hinge on my drivers side door tore itself completely off the pillar. A hunt for the manufacturers recall repair part came up with,"Sorry sir that part is obsolete". I found this fix for the hinge and although it is a redneckish (like Me) I decided to give it a try and it worked like a charm. I mostly read the posts here and don't feel worthy to add to the groups expertise but here is the link to this repair.

Nice! Other option is to weld it I'd say but I know not everyone has a welder handy!
