Sorry I don't have any parts but I'd be interested in reading a build thread on your Eagle.

Purchased this 1985 Eagle Nov 1, 2015 off kijiji.
Had no brakes, leaked like a siv and ran ok. Got it home, put it in the garage. So began the dissecting. Bit of back ground first. I am a Journeyman HD Mech and Millwright. So going beans deep. At first, how the snow ball started it had the el-cheapo plastic tappet cover. Broke that coming off. Chasing more leaking, in the ended up pulling everything, engine, trans, tcase front diff and even ripped apart the rear diff. Engine, did a refusrbish-reseal, new aluminum tappet cover and comp cam. Trans, adj bands, flush and reseal. tcase, insp and reseal. Front diff, insp and reseal. Rear axle, new wheel bearings seals, lunch box locker, pinion seal. Now the drivetrain back in and the eagle running, had to rebuild the carb(carter POS), looking to do an upgrade. Replace the muffler and a section of the exhaust. The POS motorcraft ignition is giving me grief, so I ordered an HEI setup. Also dealing with some front end issues, but figuring it out. Thank you Internet. But would like, a NP229 for low gear and neutral for towing behind vehicle.
SO. My Eagle adventures have been interesting. Educational. But, I have been driving it for the last month, it is fun, gets a lot of looks.
I will post pics later.

Any thoughts on an XJ driveline conversion? Swapping in a 4.0 would solve your ignition and carb problems.
Did you perform the Nutter bypass on the carb? Google it if you haven't.
Whats your goal for it? Mild wheeler?
-
I know an XJ driveline has been done, but need to use the 4.2 block, because it has the bosses cast in the block on the lower LH side for the diff bracket. The dana 30 ifs is mounted to the block and engine mounts. But in the future may look into 4.0l head swap. I have heard of guys doing stroker kit, however they did a straight front axle conversion.
I am not going to far with the eagle for now. Baught it for a commuter car, goof off wheeling car and something my sons and I can work on and have fun with and quite miling up my truck.
I have looked in to the nutter bypass. Don't like it. Just wanna get rid of that whole system and go with something simple HEI

You've probably already invesigated this but in case you havn't, you can keep your block and go with a 4.0 head and efi.
-
I'm not sure if there is a difference in yours, but I swapped a 4.0l (stroked it with the 4.2 parts that came out) into an eagle and the front diff bolted up to the 4.0l block just fine. I ran a stand alone painless wiring harness to run the fuel injection.

Thats good to know. Was that a early 4.0l?
-
If memory serves me, it was about a 94 out of an XJ.
