Saturday March 20th. Waiperous.
Time to dust off the jeeps and the BBQ’s!
We used to do a chili-run. This year we will do cook-out. Bring your own food/beverages and equipment to cook it.
We will meet in cochrane for 9:30am, leave at 10am. All meet at the original lost knife trail head and head to the meadow. No real rush. Hang out and enjoy the day. After the cook-out we can go up the hills and stop at the lookout or down the river trail. We have options for after lunch. We will have lots of time.
As we get closer to the 20th, if the weather isn’t looking good we can switch to the following Saturday March 27th.

Margaret Lake is getting pretty trashed lately. I know it's a nice spot but it would be nice to alleviate some pressure. There are lots of nice spots on the way, 4 corners by the river's not bad and there's lots of space. Lost Knife Meadow creek?
We're not supposed to go past the wooden fence at the lake, it would make the club look bad if we setup shop in there. There's limited space at the fence.

That’s a fair observation.
What do you all figure? Meadow creek would be a good spot. Tuck into the tree on the one side. A little secluded too so not windy.

You all can use my bbq if you want. It’ll be hot enough we don’t need to worry about germs and stuff. I’m just gonna cook a couple dogs then it’s free. If that works?

Not Margaret lake. We will do the original list knife trail to the meadow. Do the cook-out. Then take the rest of the trail up and over the hills and check our time. Could skoot to the lookout or even up the river trail to the lake anyways for a quick look or whatever we all feel.

Apologies for having to ghost out at the end of the day.
Our old man pooch injured himself on his walk this afternoon and (re)gimped up his front leg and mama bear was freakin a bit ;)

Two hours later and I’ve finally got the first layer of mud off. That is thick stuff out there! 🤦???

I made the mistake of waiting until today to wash it off. I should have done it yesterday when it was still somewhat wet and not dry and frozen. It took a while at the car wash. I went back pretty quick so the mud was flying.

It was great to get out again for some wheeling. The kids and I had a blast. It was really nice to see you guys again.
I'm steadily working on my own junk and will get it rolling fairly soon. Now that's on line it needs to get done ;)
