Title: Holley carb on YJ?
Post by: 4Play on August 07, 2006, 05:46:49 PM
I know holley doesn't have the best rep for offroading but does any one have one in their jeep.  Good idea???  My carb is just no good.   That is the only issue with my jeep off-roading.  It just wont stay idleing, or it idles to high and so on.  My mechanic buddy has tuned it over and over.  He has a new holley he pulled off his toyota and we are putting it in my jeep on thursday.     Just wondering if there is any problems doing this!!!

normally idle issues can be solved by oversizing the idle jets so they don't plug up so much.  It took a long time but I finally got mine running good by doing this.  I am sure you could google a soloution.  http://www.jeeptech.com/engine/carter.html
