Just wondering if anyone has had to remove the fan clutch from a 2003 or newer jeep TJ. My Haynes manual shows a slightly different version that just bolts to the water pump pully with 4 bolts. My fan clutch however looks to be fastened directly to the shaft. If anyone can give me removal advise as soon as possible I would greatly appreciate it. I'm going to be late for dinner if I don't get this finnished soon. I am installing an electric fan with manual shut off switch. Thanks a lot guys.

My understanding is that it is just one bolt in the middle. Although I'm not sure if its a reverse thread or not. Sorry I can't be of more help.

got it guys... just takes a little elbow grease counter clockwise on the shaft hex. I got the new electric fan installed (hayden 16") and i notice that the jeep runs a little warmer than it used to. About 107 instead of 100. If any one has thoughts on this, please feel free to coment.

Was this on a real hot day, how fast is the fan, how many amps does it pull, what is your controller set at, is that temp with the fan running all the time, is your rad clean?
No way to really comment without knowing the answer to a lot of those questions.
