A few years back I made a snorkle for my XJ. I liked it, and it seemed others did too, so I did a write up on it.

Last nite, I made one for my Tracker. It was pretty easy. But I'm sure it's nothing new here...
Just thought I'd post some pics.

I still have to paint it and do some "finishing touches".

You need the 5.13... because of the smaler engine. I've seen one with 31' tires and even with 5.13 the driver was saying he had to keep the momentum up to climb some hills.

Dan .. is this a 6" suspension lift or you have a bit of body lift also?

It's not quite done yet..

I need to bleed the brakes, finish the bodywork and Herculine the rockers, and (if it ever gets here ::)) install the Calmini 3" suspension and 1" spacers. It rubs the inner fenders, and that's even with trimming like crazy and bashing the pinch seam in. Got Evolution starting on the bumpers (when they have time of course :P ). You'll notice I had to rebuild the lower rockers due to hidden rust. You'll never even notice Once it's bedlined. ;)

What kind of budget did you accomplish this little rig on?

Even with the lift and big tires it still looks smaller then the van parked in front of it in the picture. Looks cool though. :)

The aluminum front axle housing and the weak little idler arm are the weak points.

Other than that, they are tuff little buggers.

Including the Tracker, about $5500 after the bumpers are done.

Rollin' on 7" now. Now I need some nice heavy bumpers to bring it back down so I can get into it! Rocker will be lined by Satarday.

Finished the rockers and nose on the weekend...Now it just needs bumpers and a winch and she's ready to go!

This is the product I used this time. It's about the same as the Hippoliner...a little glossier maybe. It is messier to work with than the Duplicolor product, but it seems to be a little more durable. I'm please with the results. I like the fact that it is a 2 part  epoxy/urethane, unlike the other liners.

awesome. I like it. although your future plans to put an 8000lb winch on it may be overkill. I'd go with a 3000lb winch. jk. look's wicked. should be fun in the mud.
