this was in the cdn tire flyer , a little black box that hooks up to 12v and covers your vehicle with a electronic charge to repel rust ... never heard of such a thing ... interesting ... I am ok with tremclade for now but thought maybe others might be interested ... maybe its just a gizmo ... 200$ onsale ...

Cathodic protection is old technology, just not common in the automotive industry, although it has been around for a while.

Even with the there is still going to be rust. Anything isolated by a ground will be that much more suceptable to rusting.

To be effective you'd need to place strategic sacrifial anodes around the vehicle. These are tabs that are more prone to rust then the common steel on your vehicle.

Zinc is one of the more common anodes used in places like the oil industry.

this gizmo may make a good car alarm...

hook it up to a transformer with input rating of 12 v and output rating of 200,000 v would make for a very "shocking" ( :lol: ) experience :twisted:
