Title: Procomp X-Terrains
Post by: bae146 on October 15, 2006, 10:42:29 AM
Does anyone run the procomp X-Terrains?  I am looking for a real review on how they preform on and off road in all conditions.  Winter highway driving to summer offraod in the mud.  I realise Black yj says that procomp = procrap but is that true for all their tires?  I also heard that their size when inflated is less than advertised.  Does anyonw know what size a 33X12.5 on an 8" rim will measure out to?  How about a 35X12.5 on same rim?

I had the 35"x12.5 on a 10" rim. I hated the tires. They were good for summer, but horrible on water or when it's raining and even worse in the winter. I spun off the highway numerace times last winter. I've heard of some guys getting them siped and having better performance. As far as the size I didn't notice a differance than my M/TRs.

I have never run these tires but I know B-Man has and he did not like them either.  I don't think they are very good for this climate and not good in mud.    I think you can find a better tire.  Also a 35x12.5 will work on a 8" rim

Geez I guess I am getting a reputation around here.

Thanks for your informed reply's on the procomp tires.  I am glad Black yj has nothing bad to say about his old dana 35 as it is nestled happily under my jeep in my garage!!  :D

ahahahahah. what are the odds of that. I didn't even know.

Scott's secretly placed a self destruct mechanism in the diff cover. It'll will blow up if it tilts more than 20 degrees off kilter.
