Title: Clunking in my '91 XJ?

This weekend i was out doing some minor wheeling. While In 4Lo, usually when climbing a steep hill slowly, or once pulling a stuck buddy out I get this nasty clunking...sounds like its coming from my front end. It seems to only happen in 4lo.
what could this be?

I would take a look at your front u-joints
