Title: Looking at dropping the Jeep
Post by: JeepInMud on October 24, 2006, 01:11:06 AM
OK, right now I have toy axles SOA in my CJ7 and 2-1/2" rancho lift springs and 35's, I am thinking of bringing the CJ down to a more managable driving level (down to 33's).

I have had three thoughts:

1. drop the lift springs and go to stock YJ springs, but I don't think that is enuff to run the desired 33's

2. keep the Toy axles and go back to SUA.

3. sell of the whole suspension and go back to stock Jeep parts (Dana 44 in the rear and AMC 20 in the front) and keep the lift springs.

I think the CJ right now could easily run 37's so it looks like I can't take the easy route and just sell off the springs.

Spring under has advantages right away.  I'd think about that route since you have everything you need to make it work more or less.
