Title: knocking/clunking

hi there i have a 89 yj and the rear end clunks as i drive it seems pretty constant i just replaced both u-joints and have no idea what else it could be. if anyone has any idea what it could be plz post or send pm

It clunks as you are just driving along, or while braking/accelerating?

Open your diff. cover and see if there's anything in there (broken parts).

It happen to me and I have 2 broken teeth off my ring gear...

Does it happen when going straight or only in a turn.  If it is only a turn than it is your spider gears

i got it fixed ... it was the balance weight on the rim hitting the park brake cable thanks everyone for the help
