Are you looking to go from a 4 banger to 4.0L?  A little more detail would be good.  I have swapped a 94 XJ drivetrain (4.0L) into my 95 YJ (2.5L)

If your dumping your transmission I would be interested.  I do know there is a lot of good write ups around, just google search it and you should find some

yes, I currently have a 2.5 and want more power.  I can get a complete xj for about 1000$

I was wondering how much work it was to put into the tj.  I am planning on putting the engine, tranny and tcase from the xj into the tj

There are tons of sites around outlining the 2.5 to 4.0 swap.  The main thing is that you are going from MPI to MPI so that makes a few things easier.  Here is a list of stuff that you will need to do

1.  Cut and remove 2.5 motor frame mounts and get new mounts (~$180-200 from dealership)
2.  New fan shroud
3.  Lengthen front DS
4.  Shorten rear DS
5.  For the wiring harness the guy that did mine, spline in the 2 extra cylinders because the connection to the fire wall was different

Thats about all that I can think of
