Title: Revving high after start up

After starting my '94 the revs go up and down several times at which time the "check engine" light usually comes on. Ideas on what causes this and how to fix??

throttle position sensor is my guess. Screwy idle is usually a TPS.

i dont get a check engine light but my tracker also has an idle that goes from like 1000 RPM down to 300 and back... (everytime your stopped at a light) it gets annoying after a while
