im just wondering if some people can post their pics of their front and also their rear tow points so i can get some ideas on where to mount them. thanks, Giffer

Universal Mounting and Rear Mounting on Jeeps®
11303.03 & 11236.02 Tow Hooks can be mounted on any flat surface on any vehicle using the supplied hardware. Once a location is found,
use the hook as a template and drill (2) ½” holes in the frame for any two of the tow hook holes (existing holes in the frame can also be
used). Be sure to check for wires, fuel lines, etc. behind the frame before drilling. Bolt the hook (and optional safety catch) to the frame
with the supplied hardware. Torque to 65 lbs.

1987-95 Jeep® YJ™ Wrangler™
YJ™ Wrangler™ models require the use of the two front bolt holes at either end of the hook (See Diagram A – Holes # 1 & 3). The tow
hook can be mounted on either driver or passenger sides of the vehicle on the frame. There are (2) holes on the top of the frame: one
attaches the front bumper and the other is located on the front frame cover (frame cover may have to be drilled). Remove the existing bolt
for the front bumper and, using the hardware supplied in the kit, bolt the hook (and optional safety catch) to the threaded holes in the
frame. Torque bolts to 65 lbs

where can i pick up the rear one that attaches to my hitch??

The front hooks are pretty cheap but make sure you get grade 8 bolts, they have 6 lines on the top of the bolt head.

The rear is tough because it has to be mounted to the rear cross member somehow, either hitch or whole bumper.  If you have a standard 2"x2" receiver, lots of places sell either a hook or one that uses a clevis.  If you don't have the 2"x2" is get a little tough.

As a side note - the bumperettes ARE NOT SUFFICIENT TOW POINTS!!!!!

princess auto has couple of different types, either a hook or an eyelet( i prefer the eyelet as the tow rope never falls off) both are about 15-20$ reg price, can be on sale sometimes.

yeah ive got a 2x2 receiver. im just dont want to mess them up and have someone get hurt in the process of pulling me out.

We don't usually pull too many people out from the rear.  The rear is usually more for the tow rig as the temporary stopped jeep is hooked onto the front.  Either the hook or eyelet will work just fine, plenty strong.

thanks for the pics. ill get some on her by the next run. and yeah why are your points backwards?? so it just to rub in that you've never been stuck. if so, kinda cocky dontcha think. haha

If you need your front end moved backward just use a tree like I did, its faster. :wink:  :lol:  :lol:
