Title: YJ Trackbar
Post by: BlackYJ on February 01, 2007, 08:02:33 AM
Well I finally removed my trackbar last night and I am not totally sure I like running without it.  A little too squirrely on the road.

So my question is, is anybody running an adjustable trackbar in the front, using a relocation bracket or anything else.  The one supplier that I have seen that sells one is MORE, but I really can't find anyone else

Let me know

It takes some getting used to , mine's been off for a year and a half. I did a Wagoneer axle swap , both the track bars were ditched during that.
Even more interesting "feel" with a Detroit locker in the rear end , last year it got a stroker / fuel injection conversion,  further emphasizing the squirrely road manners , I'm used to it and have adjusted my driving to suit these characterisics. I doubt I'll be putting trac bars on , at first , I had considered it , now I'm okay with how it feels.

Just my $.02

I ditch the rear when I swapped in my 8.8 almost a year ago now and it is feel.  I am used to driving without my swaybar attached but they is just body roll so it is not too bad.  It is just a lot more squirrely than I would like since this is my prime vehicle and it does go on the highway.  I have attached my swaybar now

First thing I did when I bought my yj was remove the front and rear track bar.  It was a big improvement, The track bar relocating brackets didn't seam the right legnth and the trackbar was fighting the springs.  None of my older jeeps had a trackbar so I figure what the heck how could I go wrong!  My track bars are still sitting in the corner of my garage whey I put them 3 years ago.  I have had no issues with handling without them.  I have BDS 2.5" springs on my jeep.

Well I have driven w/o a rear trackbar for about a year and have not noticed it.  Also I am very used to driving w/o my swaybar, but driving this morning with out my front trackbar was a little too squirrely for my liking.  With about 4.5" of lift, it is a little unnerving

I think that I am going to look into the JKS telescoping trackbar
