Post by: Robbman on February 01, 2007, 09:46:09 PM

You have 410 gears already. It will suffer a bit of power, and you wont use 5th on the highway anymore, but it will still get you by.

it should be fine, but it all comes down to if your happy with the power and grunt in the mud and on the trails.

Without a doubt. You wont really notice a difference offroad in low range. Its just on the hiway and around town where you'll really feel it.

When I went from my 31s to my 33s with my angry squirrels it was actually a noticeable difference offroad.  Still work fine in the mud and everything, but I did have troubles on steep hills because I would power out.  32s won't be as bad.

The skinny pedal is your friend
i wheeled my 4banger TJ with 33's in many widths including 15.50   and it worked just fine, excellent actually as long as i kept revs way up. i drove it like i stole it.
Ok, so i did eventually gernade the engine......twice, but it never lacked in power except on road.
Tom :)

ROFL...mental notes being made here: don't use Tom as a reference point.

The wife has 33" TRXUS MT's on her 97 TJ, 2.5...
Fine on the trail still...5th on the highway exists only if you're heading East, or down hill.
