Title: Fishing near Calgary
Post by: blaker on July 22, 2005, 10:38:59 AM
Anyone know of any good fishing spots not too far away from Calgary?  I'm a big fan of pike, but would just like to get out more often.  I've got a fairly capable jeep, but not a boat or anything.  Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Best place is to park your truck under the bridges of Bow Trail/Crowchild. Hit 11 Ave SW go all the way to the end. Walk abit East on the trail following the train tracks, and there is a small lagoon on the right. There is a peice of land that jets out abit. So as you are walking you see the lagoon on the right, the land jets out parallel to you. You can see it from the Crowfoot bridge heading south its on the right. I used to live in Wildwood behind the city golf course. I dont fish there anymore.
