Title: 03 tj rear shock bolt broken
Post by: XJHERO on March 08, 2007, 06:25:12 PM
its on the driver side in the back the inside top bolt for rear shock.

The bolt is broken off flush in the square nut thats welded on the inside of the frame. Does that make any sence to any one?

I think the best way is to break off the nut cus u cant get straight on it with the drill to drill it out  the gas tank is in the way.

any suggestions???

BFH and duct tape, you can't go wrong  :D

Get some bar pin eliminators after you get it out

Drill through, then nut and bolt is the quickest and easiest.

The 1/2" air drill I have reaches up there.

You can try and easy out and then reuse the welded nut, but I havnt had luck with that method.
