Post by: calltrex on March 12, 2007, 10:48:36 PM
Anyone using the new Windows Vista?

Just installed the other day.

Its pretty cool. Lots of features. Fast, not a single problem yet.

Any coments about it?

Been running Vista Ultimate since November. Love it. Only remaining problems I have are:

No drivers for network scanning from my HP2610 (would work if I plugged it in via USB).

No SLI on my video cards

I loved vista when it was called OS X about 3 years ago.

I won't upgrade until I need to. From what I hear Vista will actually slow down your gaming system. And the fact that there aren't any freakin drivers yet sucks.

Works great, and fast, I havent seen anything slowing of my games, and bugs or crashing, also I didnt have a problem with drivers at all, they were all installed by vista, only problems I had were some programs didnt work, so I had to get the vista capable ones.

Great OS

I would wait untill service pack one comes out so that most of the bugs will be worked out, Vista's main problems are aftermarket cards (Video, sound etc). Most of the drivers are still designed to work on XP, I figure most of the companys will come around and get there stuff fixed up by the time the first service pack comes out  in about 6 months to a year.
