Ive got 31" MT's and oem wheels on my xj..at full lock or close to my tires are digging into my LCA's and doin a bit of damage. My rear tires are very close to my bottom leaf too... It seems like 31's are usually fine on stock backspacing etc but not always.
Anyone else have these probs and have some insight besides buying new wheels? wheel spacers maybe?

My YJ has some bolts on the knuckles that limit how far the front tires can turn, I adjusted them (added 3 washers - the lock nut is welded to the adjustment bolt) to prevent my 31" tires on stock Jeep Canyon wheels (5" back spacing) from touching my leaf springs at full lock.

cheapest route to get more clearnace is pick up some black steelies... the black daytona's that national sell with ( i think ) 3-3/4" back spacing should do the trick and adjust the steering stops on the front. i think they sell those for around 60-70 a piece ( could be wrong )

Hmm yea I could try adjusting the steering stops, may be easier to just get new steelies. Only thing there is then I gotta get my tires re-mounted...I shoulda bought new wheels in the first place! :(

Anyone running wheel spacers? Wondering if it would be a cheaper option..

Ok one more question..
Whats stock backspacing on my xj? 5" and 5 on 4.5? Im going to get new wheels and want to make sure I get sufficient ones. Runnin 31x10.5 tires. Should I go with 3.75" BS?

yep 3.75 bs
when I got mine Modern was cheapest place for the black steelies
