OK, so I just got my baby out of storage. It was parked in a driveway for 5 and 1/2 months, with the battery still connected. First try to turn it over, there was nothing, no click click click to indicate the battery was dead, nothing. Except that when I pulled the key out, the guage needles were bouncing back and forth for about 5 minutes. I put a portable jump start
on and it turned over and started, no problem. As i'm driving to my place the check guages light comes on. I try starting again 2 days later, nothing. Jump start again and I now have to use the gas pedal to get it to run. Take my foot off, engine dies.
As I'm typing this I'm wondering if I should just unhook the battery? Would that re-set it?
Any ideas at all would be greatly appreciated.

I had somewhat the same problem. After my jeep was parked for 3 weeks, got in it, turn the key nothing no click, nothing, boosted it from a buddies chev, started no problem but would die if i took my foot off the gas pedal. Tried that a couple of times with the same results. So I unhooked the terminals and cleaned them then put the battery on a slow charge. After 6 hours jumped in, turn the key and started no problem, never had any problems since.

I would also check the ignition system, like cap, rotor, wires, plugs, to make sure there is no moisture and they are clean

X2 on charging the battery with a charger.

As suggested, I took the cables off, checked the terminals and connections, hooked it all back up. Turned the key, she fired up like I'd been running it year-round ! So far so good anyways. Thanks for input guys. :D
