Title: 4cyl t case

does any one know if a 4cyl t case will work in a yj ? or what you have to do to get it to work ? any help would be appreciated  thanks

I am not sure where the 4cyl t-case is coming from, but all TJ and YJ 4 cyl t-case should be interchangeable, except for maybe the ones behind the 2.4L.

i had a 4cyl t case given to me and mine got stolen off my jeep  mine has a 4.0 l in it  so i dont know ?

Well putting a 4 cyl t-case into a 4L driveline is a different story.  The 4L t-cases have 23 spline input and the 4 cyl have a 21 spline input gear.  The rest of the case is the same, but the input gear need to be swapped

dont know it was parket all winter whent to pick it up and no t case   skide plate is there  drive shafts are there but know  t case  :?

so any one know how to change the shaft in this and where do i get one from?

I have a 4 Cyl T-Case in my 4.2L 6 Cyl YJ.
If your 87-90 6 cyl YJ has the BA10/5 transmission then it has a 21 spline output the same as any TJ/YJ/XJ 4 Cyl. NP231, a direct bolt in!
 If you are so inclined you can also swap your input shaft into a 4 cyl T-case easily.
