Anyone knows a good place to go who ballances and aligns 37" 13.5 bias ply titres?
I used to go to Harper's Tires but they do not do tires bigger than 35"....
I'm in the SE near Dearfoot meadow..... can't drive far because of stupid death wobble....
any help is appreciated... Thanks!!!

Try Blaskin & Lane on 16ave. across from Northhill mall. I believe they've balanced Spinalguy's 37's before.

In order to align any tires that are 35+" the shop will need to have a visual alignment machine(most shops dont have them because they are still $30,000. If you are in the south go to the South Trail Fountain Tire. They have a visual alignment machine and the shop forman is a jeep buff so they should do a good job.

I just drop the Heep at B & L to do a tire balancing for now.
Thanks for the info... I will call them to see what they say.
:D :D :D

B&L could only balance 1 out of my 4 tires...
they put the 2 worst in the back. One in the front needed 23 oz so they did not balance it ... the other only need neede 3.5 oz.....
That's all they could do... I'm getting an alignment next week...
I hope my death wobble will be gone...
crossing my fingers..I'm going to pick up the heep

I drove from the NW to the deep SW and I only had one incident where I experienced death wobble... it was on a bouncy road.
It's not gone but it's definately better... :D
Hopefully after my alignment next week it will be all gone...
There one thing that puzzled me....
They told me to run my tires (which are on a 10" wide rim) at 30Psi on the road (????) :? .... It says on the tire that I'm not supposed to run them more than 30 psi max ...(???)
B&L also told me that even if I run them at 20 or 30 PSI I will wear the center of the tire because they are big knobby bastards... fair enough... I think they will wear faster in the center of the thread at 30psi. Am I right?
I ran my old 33" 12.5 at 25 lbs (on a 8" wide rim) because at higher pressure they were wearing in the center of the thread....
Do they want me to run them at that pressure because at 30psi they are more "stable"? Will my tires wobble more at 20 psi..? ...
I ran them at 20 psi on the street before (I had bad death wobble).... Any advise on the pressure I should run my 37" bias ply tires?
Thanks,
Dom

here's a good FAQ for ya, 4 pages.

25-30 does sound about right for overall safety, handling and economy. personally might I sacrifice a bit of that @ 25lbs for a little smoother ride.

Joel, my 37's were done at Fountain Tire on Morraine Rd as that is where i bought them. Blaskin has done all my other tires.
Stuckagain (Brian) did my new 37x14.50 and they all took less than 3oz! He is at Fountain Tire on Blackfoot and 58th.

Dom, you are right, if you run high pressure you will wear down the center.
