I'm looking for some help with changing my rear engine gasket, if anyone has any advice or diagrams or even a web site that would be great.

What jeep do you drive and what engine????? When you say 'rear engine gasket' , do you mean the rear main seal?? If so here is a good link for the rear main seal. They did it on a cherokee but the yj and tj are pretty much the same wether it is a 4.2L or 4.0L. I believe that a 2.5L requires that the tranny needs to be pulled but the rear main can be switched out in the 4.2L/4.0L without removing the tranny.

I just did mine about a month ago. It is pretty easy to do. When you get a new oil pan gasket , get the one piece. NAPA has it listed on thier computer. Don't bend the oil pan at all when removing/installing. It is a messy job to do.

I did about 2 or 3 oil pan jobs, with new gaskets and oil pan. Yes the one peice is slick, use alot of RTV sealant. Mine is leaking abit. I might do the rear main seal soon.
