probably utah/nevada are the closest, but you may have to search around.

Was just going to say Oregon Dunes...was down there last summer and ripped around the dunes on a quad.  It was surreal, you come out of dense treed forest path onto this HUGE desert, complete with dunes, valleys, and an ocean view. :lol:  Highly recommend a trip down.
