Title: Front axle seal, 1994 YJ
Post by: TaTtOo on May 06, 2007, 11:06:42 AM
Hey guys need some advice here.  I cleaned my rig up last night after finishing up on the trail (best run I have been on in a long time btw... thanks to everyone that was there) and this morning when I went into the garage I noticed a puddle under my front passenger side axle.  Looks like the seal is gone here is a pic.

Does this look like the seal is gone?  Anyone know any writeups on how to fix?

Cheers and Thanks

Lawrence

Yep your passenger seal is TOAST.  I have had it happen a couple times

Basically, you need to completely disassemble your front end because you need to removed your axles.  Then pop off you vacuum housing and the seal is on the knuckle side of the tube.

I am sure Gandhi will be able to enlighten you more.
