You want your say in our future?
Than do this survey and when you have, reply on this site that you have done it. We don't want words anymore, we want action!
Are you up for the challenge?
The Alberta Government is doing a survey on our land use issues. There is a survey that we should all fill out. The survey is big....15pages and there are lots of places for comments. Each and everyone of us should take the time to read the information in the links, fill out the survey and put in as many comments as you can. I really dont like the wording of some questions and I let them know what I thought. You can stop, save and restart which is pretty cool.
There is an open forum session to voice your opinions as well.....

I know this is the last thing everyone wants to be doing right now as OHV season is well underway, but hey...Its time to speak up!
Here is the link to the survey:

Stressed regulation and user fee's as much as I could.
I did not approve of the income and job related questions.
Mortons input trying to re enforce his "recently affluent" statement in the paper.

All survey's have income and educational areas. Purely optional to fill those in.
Statistics, I'm sure someone somewhere will draw statistical conclusions that university educated folks making over $100K will be middle of the road. That someone making $60-80K with some university will take the conservationists course, and everyone else will be hellz-yeah, party on!
But even with stats, there are exceptions to every rule, and the numbers don't lie, they just fib plus or minus a few percent.
Not a bad survey, the pre-gamp one was a lot more one-sided than this one.

Thanks for pointing this out Tom.
It's a hard one to fill out. Depending on what you answer many can be scewed as one way or another. The whole thing is just not as black and white as the survey wants it to be.
Of course we want a healthy environment. Of course protecting the watershed is important. But suporting that sure as heck doesn't mean that closing the land to us is the only answer.
It's scary that if we say yes we are concerned about things like that, it could be used against us.
But........
Done.

Added this on 4wheeler again now aswell. Spread the word. This is way more important than I even thought.
I was at the meeting in Red Deer last night and spoke with the guy in charge for over an hour. Times up. Action now or we stand to lose everything.
There WILL be province wide regulation by the end of the year. That's straight from the horses mouth. Lets do what we can to let them know how many of us value recreational access to public lands.

There are so many browsers and users on this site, i know we can have more than 25 or so to do this survey.
Please take some time to shape your and your kids future in OHV use.
You have until June 15th.
Post here that you are done.
Thanks
