Title: Oil pressure
Post by: SwampSinger on June 13, 2007, 08:46:43 AM
My guage is running at 5.4 (which is crank to the max) when I'm driving. I've just notice this AM when I was driving to work. It's between 3 and 5.4 (at 3/4 ) when it's idleing.

if I shut off my engine off and left the key on utility the guage showed at 3.

Should I be driving my Jeep? Is it going to blow in my face?

My oil level is good and the dip stick does not blow out of it's place.

help please

I'm panicking  ...

the first thing I would try is a new oil filter. If that didn't work then I would try a sending unit.
