Title: Cracked CV Boots
Post by: kevman on August 11, 2005, 11:26:12 PM
So I noticed that my CV boots are starting to crack but arn't close to being cracked through yet.  I just don't have time lately to deal with this so I'm looking for a quick easy band-aid to prolong the life of the boots.  I've heard people talk about using some silicon?  When I think of silicon I think of silicon cocking and that just doesn't seem to make sence...

Been there, tried that ..

My only advice .. change them now .. if you don't they will break at -25 during the winter and you'll be trying to fix them then.

Kevin... it's not too good to go on a long trip with cracked boots. I would make the time to change them or get it done by someone else.

my 2 cents
