Hi guys,
So, this one is starting to get annoying. 97 TJ, 2.5L
Symptoms:
Idle surge is not quite accurate, really. At true idle, there is little to no surging.
It's most noticeable at launch, off the light/from a stop. 2-4 obvious surges in rpm before coming into power.
I'm almost sure it's a sensor, just need an idea of which I should replace first.
Has anyone seen this/have idears?
Did a board search, and Googled till the Hummer's came home...
TIA,

Same thing is happening on my 2.5L, but much worse. So far I have Replaced the rotor, cap, plugs and wires, AND the TPS. But the problem is still there, just a little milder.
So she is going in for a diganostics test on monday. Ill let you know what they come up with. :x

Any idle problems I've had with my TJ were always because of the TPS or an oxygen sensor. It's a $40-$60 part... dont know if this helps, but it wouldn't hurt to check them out. Even just cleaning them can sometimes work.
Good luck! 8)

Thanks for the input....
I've already done an O2 sensor....TPS will be next on my list as well.

Just to update on this....TPS resolved ALL symptoms. Thanks for the feedback!
