Title: Edelbrock Header for the 4.0
Post by: WagoneerXJ on July 13, 2007, 03:01:03 PM
Well the exhaust manifold on my 4.0 Jeep was cracked real bad...I could put on another OEM one but it will crack again in a few years so I said squirt on it.

Got the local parts store to order me an Edelbrock "Hi-Tec" coated header. This header is pretty much the same price as an OEM manifold! Damn she's gonna sound good!

Got it on yesterday. WHAT A PAIN!. Gotta remove all kinds a crap!. Electric fan, PS Pump, belt, fuel rail and injectors, intake manifold, throttle body, bunch of wiring, O2 sensor.

Jeep definetly sounds different. Sounds a little deeper. Runs quieter cause there's no leaks now :p. Also, I noticed a power increase on the highway, i.e. passing and goin up long hills. I can hold my speed in 5th gear now. Definetly impressed with this thing!

I got it for $456 with tax. Local parts store called Lordco. I don't think you guys have them in Alberta though.
