Title: Whos got a Hot Tub ??

Just wondering what others did for a foundation under it.

I have to prep before mine gets here. Cant decide how to do it.


put on deck
put on gravel
put on concrete pad
put on pad of interlocking bricks
put on those big concrete walking squares
put on sand


any other ideas??

I second the idea  :D ...

my boss bought one last year. It's attached to his deck. I'll ask him what it's laying on. I think it's simply gravel but i'll ask to make sure.

I've got a 1 man 9 woman hot tub in the garage right now. :D It's going out very soon. I'm going to put it on 3/4" washed rock. That way all moisture will be drained away. I don't think that concrete or anything else will let the wood on the bottom breath enough.

Not a hot tub, but a 15ft , 4ft high pool.  Removed the sod, rototilled the ground, packed it, put down sand, packed it, gravel on the sand where the walls would be, put the pool top of it.

Very stable for the last month, so far.
