Title: 87 Cherokee ?'s

I am looking at a 87 XJ 2 door. Does this come with the 30/35 combo as well? It has the straight six. Also will this engine be the 4.0 or 4.2? I am more familiar with the TJ's as that is all I owned before.

I think 87 was the year Jeep started to use the Renix motor iin which case you have a 4.0 L.

yes it will have the 4.0L and if it has the metric tonne package it will have a D44 rear axle
