Volunteers are wanted for a bridge building project on September 15th.
This is the installation of the last of the large steel bridges in the Ghost area. It is on a trail designated for quad use. It is a worthy project for the 4x4 community even if it is not on a 4x4 trail. The groups need to work together and the quad guys did a great job on several of our bridges this summer. So far two of us have committed to going out to help for the Saturday. We will need to limit the number of vehicles on the trail. As it is a quad trail any larger vehicles require a Temporary field access permit specific to that vehicle to be on the trail. I have an open seat in my jeep.

Sept. 15
We currently have two vehicles going out to help with the Sept. 15th bridge project. The vehicles on this trail must have individual SRD trail passes. I have a passenger seat and two rear TJ seat open for any other volunteers that want to come out to help. Let me know who wants to come and help for the day.
The next weekend Sept. 22
I don’t have all the details yet but I understand that on the 22nd there is going to be a fencing project out at McLean Creek . Let me know who is interested in helping and I will get you the contact info.
Thanks,
Blair

I may be able to help on the 15th, currently have a commitment for either Sat. or Sun. but not sure of which day. I'll post later in the week if I can make it.

Is this project still on the for the 15th? I can help but have to be back in town by 5:00 at the very lastest. Also, I may take your offer of a ride as my "Junk" started acting funny after last weekends run.

Is it accessible with a stock Jeep?

Is it accessible with a stock Jeep?
The bridge is currently on a trail designated for quad use. To access the trail with a jeep it needs to have an individual placard allowing access for that vehicle. A week ago we provide info for Dom’s jeep and My jeep to obtain the placards. It’s just the way the gov. read tape works now. If you are available to come out and help we would definitely appreciate it. Best plan would be to take your jeep to the trail head and then we can give you a lift the short distance in to the bridge site. If I get more CJA volunteers we can shuttle the crew in. I will have the back seat in so can take three with me.
The plan is to leave Cochrane at 8:30+- we will be meeting at Smitty's for breakfast before if you want about show up early 7:30-7:45.
Thanks,
Blair

Nope it's a quad trail...
we only got 2 Temporary Field Aaccesse passes to go on that day. One for Blair's Jeep (01sahara)and one for mine.. other than that we are not allowed on this trail. I think Blair might have a spot let on his Jeep if you would like to come help or may be a quad guy can give you a ride.
Ask 01sahara :D
