Title: Engine Temp ???
Post by: jeeppilot on August 18, 2005, 08:36:53 PM
Just lookin for a little help-.  I have a 93 2.5L. While running, the engine temp gauge reads about 70 degrees (normal), but when I give it a little gas the needle fluctuates down to the lower end of the scale.  The fluctuations are in sync with the accelerator.  What gives??

are you sure you're not looking at the fuel gauge

could be voltage related .. I would check you have a ground wire (flat braided) coming off the rear of the engine and going to the firewall.

Are the fluctuations directly linked with the gas, or is there a delay?
