Title: 2-2.5" lift with 33's??
Post by: dac on September 06, 2007, 04:06:44 PM
Anyone try or see 33's (285/75R16) with a 2-2.5" lift.  I'd like to keep it as low as possible, don't really want to add a body lift.  Also, would the factory TJ tire carrier hold it?

It's a daily driver, doesn't see much action, perhaps 32's would be better, especially considering I've got the D30/D35 combo w3.73's.

It's a 02 Sport with the 4L 5spd., as is I've got 2" spacers with 31-10.5 on the factory echo wheels, just picked up a set of the Moab rims though.

This is 2" BB with 32's. I had 3:55's. I wouldn't go to 33's as you lose too much power.

Nice picture.  It looks like there wouldn't be much room for flex with 33's.  I'm getting the feeling 32's would be a lot easier on the drivetrain.  Not sure if the extra 1/2" of ground clearance is worth it for 33's over 32's.

Power, though, I've got lots of.
