Title: Cage Build
Post by: Bnine on September 06, 2007, 11:36:01 PM
Almost done the cage. Thought I would throw up a few pics.

Started the progress shots a bit late, but you can get the idea. I still need to finish the overheads, tie in the seats, and do the frame tie ins. I'll update with those pics later on.

Behind the seat bar, gusseted across the b-pillar.

Have a bud thats a bodyman Doogy.

He matched it up as best he could and sprayed them for me.

With the paint code, you can get a paint shop to make you up some rattle cans.

Finally starting to look like a jeep again.

What's the story with the bent steering wheel?

Nice looking cage, what did you use for the tube (demensions), I want to build similar but plan to run my cross brace at shoulder height to tie in a five piont harness properly.

1.75" 120 wall DOM.

Except the lower dash spreader, 1.5" 120 wall.

My harnesses will mount to the outer B-bar and on the V's.

Doesnt matter where you put them as long as the mounting points are not past 15 degrees higher, or lower then your shoulders.

What are you using for a bender as it a beautiful job, profiles look great.
I'd probably have a pile of rubble beside "mistakes" LOL.

Air hydro Tubeshark.

I mangled 1 8 foot peice when I missed the angles on one of the through dash peices. Other then that, not a lot of waste.
