Title: power locks on rear gate??

has anyone attempted to add a power lock actuator to the rear gate of a TJ. I Just put a keyless entry system for the 2 front doors in my 03 TJ and was wondering if there was anyway of having a power lock in the rear?

Would be fairly easy to rig something up, take the black cover off of the rear gate interior and toggle the lock with your key a few times.  Should be able to get a motor or something to work to move the rod.

What I'm more interested in is getting the wiring to the actuator... like a touch switch or something

yep, use a contact switch similar to the one for the rear gate stop light.

Saw one at auto value a year or so ago, Napa and Cdn tire should have them too.
